Giveaway – Polka Theatre Tickets
Well… you may have read my post a few weeks ago about our visit to the Polka Theatre? Red Ted a wonderfully amazing time watching Oliver Jeffer’s Lost & Found. The Polka Theatre is a children’s theatre based in Wimbledon, London (UK). It has been around for many years – and when I was a little girl we used to go to the Polka Theatre with school. I remember it as special and fun times and was keen to try it out with Red Ted.
It was wonderful, brilliant and lovely.
Soooo…. I am VERY excited to say, that I have a family ticket (four tickets, at least one adult) to give away for you. Needless to say, you will have to be willing to come to Wimbledon in London, but you can work with the theatre to select a suitable date!
Here is the show you can see – All Join In:

ALL JOIN IN illustration © 1990 Quentin Blake
13 May – 13 Aug
Mr Magnolia has only one boot.
Mrs Armitage has only one bike.
Patrick has a magical violin.
But the very best of all… is when they ALL JOIN IN!
A musical extravaganza!
What’s the best way to have fun this summer? All join in! Come to Polka for an irresistible mix of songs, stories and dancing, celebrating the work of Quentin Blake. Rhyme, rhythm and colourful characters all combine in this musical extravaganza inspired by some of Blake’s well-loved stories including All Join In, Mr Magnolia, Mrs Armitage on Wheels and Patrick.
And when we say All Join In we mean it – it’s a toe-tapping, sing-along show, with plenty of chances for you to take part in the fun!
This performance is officially 4yrs+ but we will be taking Red Ted (3) as there is lots of music and dance – there is a special “Watch with Baby” edition to which we will be going along!
Soooo… do you fancy it? All you need to do is,
1) leave a comment on this blog (ONE entry) and subscribe to this blog (ONE entry) and tell us if you have been to theatre yet with your kids and what you have seen!
2) Sign up for ebulletins from the Polka Theatre and get an extra entry – just let me know in the comments her that you have done so!
Competition ends 12 March 2011

Oh yes, just up the road from us so would be lovely to win! I went once to the polka theatre with my daughter – it was lovely. We go to the Colour House Theatre too (very nearby) for their kiddy pantos – were there last week! Done the Polka email thing too

we went there 2years ago to watch ‘how to catch a star’ and my daughter loved it.
I took my daughter to see Lost and Found year. Unfortunately she got a little scared by the penguin but I know she would love to see All Join In as we have fun reading these stories at home.
Never been to Polka but now signed up for bulletin so hopefully can get organised at booking early. There is also a cute studio theatre in Carshalton which does some children’s shows throughout the year and Christmas shows just for young children. We went to one for 3-8 year olds and one for 0-5 year olds and both were great. At the 0-5 one you could take a pic of your child with the cast. T (age 3) was so impressed by this. Both T and M (then 10 mths) loved the show and sat still … and my kids don’t do calm and still very often!! So do try a kids theatre show somewhere if you haven’t been to one yet.

We’ve been to this venue for a function, and thought it was lovely, but not had the pleasure of seeing a show there yet.
