Weekly Photo: Gallery
A few weeks ago Red Ted went on a “drawing frenzy” and drew 10s of these little “robots” – big ones, little ones, ones with babies inside, even a robot slide. We had to cut them all out and create a gallery in his room. For some reason he is going through a “can’t draw” phase now, which is a shame, as he did so well with these robots… I know it will come back!

JDaniel4 loves robot too. I love that you hung up his pictures!
Aaah thank you. It was soooo cute. They stayed up about 2 weeks after that they started falling off from all the “playing”…
Hello! My little boy (3.5) also thinks he can’t draw at the moment. He does a drawing and then draws over it straight away… not sure why this is. We always try to be very encouraging. Maybe he is comparing his drawings to big sister’s drawings? I know he doesn’t like being centre of attention… well, I am sure it will work itself out, I just feel like I don’t understand why.
I am still in a cant draw phase!
no hope for me at all…

Nina – I am pretty certain it is just a “phase” – with us it is a mixture of “wanting something perfect” (everything “we” do is perfect compared to him) and thinking we can do everything better – he hates drawing outside the lines at the moment and gets very frustrated if one line (say a leg) ends up in the wrong place. I am sure it is a phase and we just have to keep encouraging (maybe not looking when they are drawing) etc
Northernmum – I bet you are better than you think! Ha!
super pictures
how nice! A gallery! All artists go through the “I can’t draw” stage. I’m sure he’ll come out of it! {:-D
Oooh I will think of him as an artist then…
What a cute idea to put them in a “gallery.” Pretty neat!
And I hope his muse returns soon…
=)
The good news is, he didn’t just paint on the wall. Very creative.
Oh…he’s pretty cute!
Artists are moody ! that’s why they are artists
!
Oh, I so admire the way you create confidence in your child.
What a wonderful accolade to his creativity…a gallery of his own.
I love the faces on his robots!
Thanks for the smile and the grand link this week.
A+
