I was a “little” worried that we may not have enough weather inspired crafts… but once again you all proved me wrong.. from the simplest toddler crafts to advanced sewers tutorial hopefully you will indeed find something for everyone! Come take a look and let the weather inspire you!!!

I wasn’t really sure wheather to order them by the elements or by age groups. So, if in doubt don’t change anything and age groups it is. We have crafts, food and science for you!

Waldorf SunCatcher

Here is a beautiful Waldorf Window Star from Garden Mama. It is a great craft to practice folding and following instructions, whilst brightening up a window at any time of year. Go and have a look. It is simply lovely!

You know me an Loo Rolls… well Kelly at Domestic Goddesque comes up with a fabulous loo roll wind sock! And if you don’t have any loo rolls, she also made one out a cereal box too.. lovely!  Her little girl paints and decorates them and then Kelly helps with the flying bits. So pretty!

Key Wind Chime

Go to your local thrift/ charity store or car boot sale, pick up some rusty old keys and before you know it, you have a fabulously fun and great sounding wind chime. I love them! Butter Nugget shows what they did. And watch this space… wind chimes coming to Red Ted Art soon too!

Xylophone Wind Chimes

Your children outgrown their baby toys? What to do with them? Wind chimes of course! I came across this idea a while back and can’t wait to have a go – they are bright, colourful and I bet sound wonderful. And as xyolphones come with “holes”, easy to assemble. Here is a set from Instructables.
