Competition: Hungry

**This competition is now closed and the winners have been contacted**

As you may have seen form my weekly photo, the wonderful Hungry book from Innocent Drinks landed on my doorstep last week. It is gorgeous. Just as gorgeous as Innocent Drinks. It stands for good food. For fun. For family togetherness…

Packed with fabulous recipes for you to “quickly whip up” or make with the help of your children, it is design to provide you with good nutritious and delicious food.

The bits I love:

* the recipes of course

* how bits your kids can help with are highlighted in grey

* how it has a “basic” in your larder list (I have subsequently stocked up with lemons)

* how you get these fun pages, where kids get entertained for 2-5min whilst waiting for the potatoes to boil (e.g. go and re-arrange all the tins in the cupboard or go and make a *welcome* sign). Red Ted saw these pages and wanted to have a go straight away

* the layout – broken into “good things to have for…” breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner etc

* how it is all easy (I once made an elaborate stuffed jacket potato which took ages, looked and tasted lovely but the kids didn’t touch – what’s the point of that? None of that in this book!)

* it is food for the whole family

I can but highly recommended.. and you know what is EVEN BETTER?!?!?!?!?!?! I have FIVE of these wonderful books and 5 of their fun Tea Towels to GIVE AWAY!!! YAY!

just subscribed (and voted for you on MADBLOGS thing too!)
i have 2 girls 16 and 20 so getting them up before midday is an event. a year before eldest went off to uni we had a once a week early breakfast treat where one of us got up extra early to cook breakfast for us all. by FAR the favourite dish was pancakes with a variety of toppings – berries, honey, lemon, sugar, nutella, bananas. Yummy! Always guaranteed a happy (if blurry eyed) table!
    great blog!
    k x

  49. Mellissa williams says:

You cAnt beat a good ole bacon butty for breakfast mmmmm

  50. Fave lunch: A bed of rocket & mixed salad, with chopped tomatoes (all homegrown), olives stuffed with almonds, spicy red chillies and goatscheese. Add some diced feta cheese to fill out the proteins. Chop up some basil and mix with lemon mint (both homegrown) and sprinkle over the top. Finish off by frying a few speck (bacon) croutons and using as ‘the cherry on the cake’.

Best served with some piping hot garlic bread or a chunk of fresh wholemeal.

I know this is only open to UK but if I win you can send the book to someone you think could really benefit from it.

    Love MJM.
