I’m not sure why I was under the table, but I remember it being dark, so maybe it was winter and bad weather?

I started school in Germany and they have the traditon of preparing a big cone for each child filled with sweets and chocolate.You are supposed to open it on the first day. What a treat ;)

It was such a wonderful warm, cheery place. Our teacher involved us in the community of the classroom… and she even let the students be the ones to write on the board or write messages. We all adored her and never realized she was sneaking in extra learning opportunities.
