I can only think that the butter may have been a little hard? The Recipe works best for butter at room temperature. Alternatively, if for some reason or another my mixture is a little dry, I add a splash of milk and the cookie still works fine!

I can’t understand what (if anything) I did wrong but I ended up with a very crumble-y mix that just could not be rolled or shaped. I’ve since triple checked my measurement and like I said, I have no idea what went wrong. Which is sad because these looked so tasty.

These look really delicious and my boys would like making these and I suspect they would have more chocolate on themselves than on the hearts! We love ‘Guess How Much I Love You’ too and have just started watching the TV programme which is also lovely especially before storytime.

I really want to make some sort of pink heart shaped cookie for my husband on Valentine\’s day. I may just use these. I love shortbread and adding food colouring to make that gorgeous pink colour is great! I know what I will be doing in half term…
