I guess the plastic bottles “evolved” as you get the electronic tea lights now and the “electronic laternen stabe”… (http://www.amazon.de/Riethm%C3%BCller-1003-Eppler-Teleskop-Laternenstab-elektrisch/dp/B000U78H2G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321178177&sr=8-1) whilst before you have real tea-lights and then a jar is most definitely better!!!

So sweet! We used to love the St. Martin’s Day parade through the woods when we lived in Germany! Princess Pea made a sweet lantern at school this week for it, too, out of an empty baby food jar, some heavy wire, and some kind of paint – will have to find out from her teachers what kind they used. It looks lovely, and we took it out to dinner with us last night to use as our table decoration! (since we don’t have a parade here).
