Tablets, the next generation…

Well, I don’t know about you, but our house has gone tablet crazy! There is a kid’s tablet all ready to be wrapped and put under the Christmas tree for Red Ted. I know he will be excited. I got a tablet a couple of years ago and The Englishman looks at it with regular longing… and occassionally pinches it off me. So maybe a tablet for Christmas is in order?! Not wanting to go for the obvious, I think it is worth having a good look around.

Up pops the great looking Sony Xperia™ Tablet. I love the sound of the following features.

  • Slim new aluminium body and splash-proof design
  • Built-in universal remote with time-saving macro programming
  • Personalised profiles for family and visitors with Guest Mode
  • Wide range of accessories including covers, docks and stands

Slimline is definitely something we need, as we have tendency to carry things around with us. I also like the sound of the Guest Mode, as we frequently have visitors who on occasion need quick internet access.. and my laptop isn’t always at the ready for them.

I am particularly attracted to some of the accessories – in particular this cover, keyboard and stand. As a blogger on the go, I do get frustrated with the “traditional” tablet’s “keyboard”. It makes me feel like I have sausage fingers and I am always mistyping. Fine for a quick internet search or short email, but not for anything that requires significant copy.

Of course the tablet itself has to be high spec, but it does help if it comes with great accessories. Why not go and have a look at the Sony Xperia™ Tablet now? I would love to hear what you think of it!
