More Father’s Day Ideas

Before, I get side tracked and waffled on too much, be sure to read through to the bottom and check out the fabulous #MyDadyMy Hero competition… Now. Some of you may have spotted our “Pop Art Your Kids” gift ideas from the other week. I used one of my favourite photos and used picmonkey to converted into a 2 tone pop art picture. I used that as an iron on on canvas bags etc. This time, I thought I would have another go to make some gifts for Father’s Day coming up – and we wanted to go Andy Warhol! There are lots of sites online, that allow you  to upload your photo and pop art in seconds. I ended up using Any Making but you can choose whatever site, they tend to be very similar on quality.. or use on of the free Pop Art Apps available for smart phones.

So I created these:

SOOOOO easy to do and I think they look fabulous.

So now I have the kids pop arty-fied, I headed over to Photobox to print some bits and pieces for their Dad. (I have been using photobox for years now – mainly to create an annyual “keepsake” photobook for the kids.. I really must get on with it and do last year’s).

I was planning to do a classic “Dad’s Mug” with the above, but got side tracked by this fab design.

I quite liked that I could add a set of photos (I chose some of the kids at different ages), rather than just the one phot. Lovely. Perfect for the office. No-one is going to pinch that mug of The Englishman. As they are quite clearly not their kids..

I then decided that our pop arty photos should go on something more creative and I thought these notebooks would be brilliant:

The Englishman goes through A LOT of notebooks at work.. and he travels a lot. I thought these would be a lovely reminder of the kids. (at just over £4 each, I am going to make a set for the kids to take as art journals on holiday!).

Finally, I got The Englishman this fabulous Aluminium Print for his desk at work. It looks so smart and neat. Perfect for his office desk!

Though we will also be making some handmade gifts for father’s day, I am really pleased with these photo gifts and I know he will really like them too! I think he will love them too!
