Lulastic – Handmade with Love

|

I would love to start the New Year’s Crafting with a lovely lovely Guets Post from Lulastic – yes, I know the Christmas Seasons is over and with that the “Season of Giving”.. however, there are many occassions throughout the year when you will need e.g. a Valentine’s Gifts and Mothers’ Day Gift, Teacher’s Gifts or a Birthday Present “for her”. And after the hugely popular Gifts Ideas for Him round up, Lulastic will be sharing some her favourite thrifty and yet wonderful “Gifts for Her”. Here is to a thrifty and handmade 2013!

Hello! I am Lucy of Lulastic and the Hippyshake. It is brilliant to be back on Red Ted Art with this little guest post. I know that with the start of 2013 many of us will have vowed to be a little thriftier, to save money where possible. One way of saving pennies but living generously is by making gifts for every occasion, and not even going NEAR the shops! (I realise I am preaching to the converted a bit, you craft divas, you.) Here are five of the favourite things I gave as gifts over the last year, with a focus on women – what with Mothers Day not too far on the horizon.

Bottle Top Magnets are always going to be a winner – who doesn’t need as many magnets going to hold up those lists and kids drawings?! These can be personalised so easily. If you haven’t played with resin yet, I REALLY recommend you give it a shot it is SO much fun!

This lace bowl was so much fun to make and with it’s useful but vintage feel is appreciated by EVERYONE!

I made these decoupage bird decorations for our Christmas tree, but I was so pleased with them I might do a batch as presents. Who doesn’t love a little bird hanging on the corner of their mirror?

And finally, in a cheeky gesture my 5th idea is not just one but, well, TEN. You see, I went to chose one of these teacups ideas and couldn’t chose. They would all be a delightful gift. So go right ahead and give one of these crafty ways to upcycle teacups a go!
