A Very Special Postcard… #lastingchange

This is  Eliafura. Eliafura, makes the most beautiful batiks and tie dyed material.  With the support of the Gatsby Trust Eliafura has registered her business and learned important health and safety rules around the chemicals she uses.   Eliafura now also trains other women in the village who bring material to her and she shows them how to create these beautiful patterns.   They sell easily to not only local schools where teachers like to buy them but also overseas.   We bought her entire stock because we loved them all so much and are now working out how to sell them on so we can complete the circle of donation, funding, training, selling, donating.  

Today I am supporting a group of very special British Bloggers that go by the name of Team Honk!! Team Honk have been working with Comic Relief and Sport Relief to help raise funds and awareness for key campaigns.

They have just come back from a trip to Tanzania to report back on how Comic Relief is helping make a #lastingchange to peoples lives.

Team Honk is about bloggers raising money and awareness for Comic Relief. To celebrate International Women’s Day #iwd2014, Tanya, Annie and Penny are in Tanzania finding out how donations to Sport Relief last year have created female entrepreneurs and #lastingchange for women, their families and communities and beyond – rippling out #lastingchange in Africa.

I am currently browsing through all these WONDERFUL postcards and seeing indeed what LASTING CHANGE Sports Relief is helping to make. Amazing and inspirational. This is proof that the funds raise, is making a REAL difference to people’s lives.
