Upcycled Wine Cork Easter Tic Tac Toe Craft

| |

We have made a Wine Cork Craft for a while.. well we have, we ADORE turning corks into Cork Christmas Ornaments.. they are just the perfect size. But we haven’t done a rest of year cork craft for a while.

If you find yourself, ahem, with a surplus of corks at the moment, why not have a go at this Upcycled Wine Cork Easter Tic Tac Toe? The cork bunnies and cork chicks are so cute and easy to make. We love Easter Crafts for Kids.

Making these cork animals is particularly cute using “prosecco Corks” or Champagne Corks. We have family that collects these for us all year round.

But, the video shows you alternatives to using paint and also for using “straight” corks. You can totally make these using any corks!!

Easy Cork Chicks

You will need at least four chicks to play! Though 5 is ideal.

Making your chicks is super easy. All you have to do is:

  • Paint your cork (we actually did two layers). This is gloss enamel paint (which is what we had)
  • Once dry, add features with a sharpie or posca pen
  • Glue on some felt wings – little yellow hearts do the trick and our glue stick was strong enough!

And yup.. the bunny cork is just as easy to make… paint (this time I used a white acrylic), decorate and glue on some felt ears. I love that our pritt stick glue was strong enough to secure the ears!

These chicks and bunnies make cute Easter decorations too!

Make a simple playing board with ribbons, paper, sticks.. and you are ready to play Tic Tac Toe (or Noughts & Crosses here in the UK!)
