How To… Make Comic Book Bunting
I do love twitter and I do love talk and interchanging ideas with fello crafty people on twitter. One such person is Lucy from Captured by Lucy, who came up with this ADORABLE (comic) book bunting. How gorgeous? Love that it is quirky and different and incorporates childhood favourites. A great way to upcycle a broken picture book (we have a few) or salvage something from the charity shop! Lucy is a mum of two and has a gorgeous blog. My favourite page is the one called “Dear Granny“. Do read it. Beautiful.
Over to Lucy!
I found this Dandy annual for 50p in a charity shop along with about 10 others, which I snapped up!
Here’s my stack! I’ve raided every charity shop in Weston in the last week!
I decided to make some name bunting for my boy’s bedrooms. I made the colours the wrong way round (was very tired last night!) but hey not everything in life has to be matchy matchy!
A friend of mine is opening a preloved furniture shop just round the corner and I am going to make some for the shop to help dress the furniture!
Isn’t it just wonderful? I do love this so simple and yet effective idea! And will be saving our old damaged picture books for this going forward. Perfect Comic Book Bunting!

Really fab idea
Love using comics for things but old Annuals what a great idea. I love your little heart hole puncher too

Aah thanks for the comics! I loved Lucy’s idea to make the bunting circular!!
What a great idea! We have all sort of pictures and books which need to be recycled. I can’t wait to get started.
