Halloween Teaching Resources Bundle:
Included in this bundle are:
- Owl Corner Bookmark – a great project to make throughout fall right up Halloween and Thanksgiving. Adjust the colors to make it more holiday specific if needed. We love making origami bookmarks, as they require some basic maths skills (looking at shames, angles), reading and following instructions. Once they get the hang of these, you can design your bookmarks in lots of different ways.
- Frankenstein Ball and Cup Game – Catch Frank’s Eyeball! This always makes me giggle and the students will love this craft and paper toy. All you need is paper and a little string to make this! Again, this craft is based on a basic origami project – the paper cup – which is easy for students to master. Then I show you how to turn the humble paper cup into this fun Frankenstein design and paper toy.
- Pop Up Monster Cards – pop up cards are always a fun activity in the classroom. As they look at different “mechanics” of how to make 2d paper, turn into a 3d craft. The monster cards are super simple – and though templates are available, students are encouraged to design their own elements or to mix and match the templates provided. Allowing for endless design variations.
- 3d Paper Gnomes – these are one our most popular Halloween Decorations – a great supplementary activity for maths teacher’s exploring 3d shapes and wanting to make some fun cone crafts.
- Halloween Friendship Bracelets – friendship bracelets are a great activity all year round. They explore sequencing and following patterns (so great to reinforce the concept of sequence). The Halloween Friendship bracelets are simply the a themed traditional kumihimo technique. These is a cardboard loom based technique that can be used with regular yarn – so no expensive embroidery threads needed. Most primary school children can master this technique.
- Origami Bat – a great 2 in 1 craft – you can use these paper bats as bulletine board decorations, but they also work fabulously as bat corner bookmarks. Again, these are an origami project which focus on some maths skills – when creating folds etc.
- Pumpkin Templates – of course, no Halloween is complete with out some pumpkin decorations. These pumpkin templates are great for making sun catchers throughout fall or Halloween.
- Halloween Thaumatrope – a fun science illusioin, learn how to make your own thaumatrope and see if you can catch the ghost. These are “Just” worksheets, with no templates, as students are encouraged to come up with their own designs.
- Halloween Cootie Catchers – we love cootie catchers all year round! A fun origami project that students love to make. This is a really special set – with lots of detailed design and colorings and can be used in a number one ways – our favourite – the Halloween scavenger hunt!
- Halloween Dress Up Dolls – finally, make some of our paper dolls – which is always fun activity!
