Mosaic Love Letter Cards for Kids
Are you looking for a simple and cute Valentineโs Day craft? Do you need a craft thatโs great for kids of all ages?
Hi! My name is Leslie.ย I love making things with kids and I shares lots of easy art and craft ideas over at Pink Stripey Socks.ย Today Iโm visiting this corner of the web to share a happy and sweet paper love mosaic craft. (Thank you Maggy for inviting me to join your 31 Days of Love series!)
Love Letter Cards Here are the materials youโll need:
- Scissors
- Colorful Sheets of Paper
- Glue stick
- Pencil
- Optional: Strips of star folding paper
How to make your Mosaic Love Letters
Step 1:
Use a pencil to write the word โloveโ on a colorful sheet of paper.
(Note:ย I tried printing the word โloveโ and writing it in script.ย The finished mosaic looked a lot nicer when I used the printed letters.ย If you choose to write in script, be sure to spread the letters out a lot.ย Otherwise itโs hard to distinguish the letters once you glue on the pieces.)
Step 2:
Cut out lots of small, colorful squares.
(Note:ย I cut strips of star folding paper to quickly create square pieces.)
Step 3:
Wipe a bit of glue along one portion of a letter.ย Then, glue on the square pieces.ย Keep repeating this process until the entire word is covered with colorful squares.ย Once youโre finished, add a border using long strips of paper.
Arenโt the results gorgeous?
