Quick Craft Post: Easter Chick Cards

I love these little Easter chick cards – they are perfect for preschoolers or toddlers to help with, but I think are cute made by any age group.  I made them for an Easter series at the Guardian last year and haven’t had a chance to post them on Red Ted Art yet. They also make fabulous little Easter Bookmarks DIYs But here they are! Nice and easy, and so quick to make:

Fingerprint chicks – crafty fun from March 2012!

Supplies needed to make your Finger Print Chicks:

  • Paper (paper cut offs are perfect for this too)
  • Yellow finger paint (have you ever tried this homemade finger paint recipe?)
  • Red and black pen for details
  • Scissors or a ruler for tearing
  • If making cards: cardstock
  • If making bookmarks: card cut offs + maybe a ribbon or some pom poms

How to make your Finger Print Chicks

  • Make some thumb prints or finger prints.
  • Let them dry.
  • Add little details to turn these into little chicks!
  • Cut out or use a ruler for a “rough but straight tear” and stick onto your cardstock!
  • For Bookmarks – make a hole with a hole punch and add a ribbon or ribbon with a pom pom or tassel!

Easy peasy Easter cards sorted!
