Classroom Christmas Craft – Handprint Tree

| |

Here is a little Christmas Craft for the Classroom – a wonderful Handprint Christmas Tree. If you manage a classroom or a child minder with a house full of children, this is a wonderful collaborative Christmas Project to do to decorate your classroom or play area. It is super simple to do and a great way to involve all the children, regardless of ability or attention span – simply make this wonderful Christmas tree. A lovely reader of mine, spotted this in her Day Care Centre last year and sent it in for me to share with you my lovely readers!

Handprint Christmas Tree - this is such an adorable project for the classroom or for a nursery. How wonderful!!

Collaborative Classroom Christmas Craft – materials:

  • White paper
  • Green paint
  • Scissors and lots of eager kids
  • Some brown paper
  • Contrasting backdrop – optional

Collaborative Classroom Christmas Craft – what to do:

  1. As you can imagine, this is SUPER easy. Get the kids to make a set of handprints. Write their name at the bottom corner of each hand.
  2. Let them dry.
  3. Cut out.
  4. ten stick on a large wall or sheet of paper – work your way from the bottom up, to give that Christmas Tree layering effect!

Finished. Wonderful.

You can get the kids to make additional hand prints for own “mini handprint trees” to take home on Christmas cards.
