Christmas Gift Bookmark Corner
Ah yes.. it has been a little while since I made a CHRISTMAS Corner Bookmark Design. To be honest, I thought I had made them all – we have Santa, Rudolph and a Christmas Tree Bookmark.. surely that is it. No. I realise quite a few Christmas Corner Bookmark Designs are still missing (where are the elves and angels? Whare is the gingerbread and the Nutcracker..?) and I will take the task upon myself to get more of these done soon. But in the meantime.. we finally have a we Kawaii Christmas Gift Bookmark Corner Design for you. I always thought a present shaped bookmark would be easy – well it is square right?? What else is there too it? As it turns out, the paper bow can be a little tricky. Teehee. Took me a while to figure that one for you. But I got there in the end. Then I made the video… and realised that I wanted to add a cute Kawaii face to it.. so watch right to the end, to catch that bit!! And hey presto.. you have a Kawaii Gift Bookmark Corner!
Needless to say, this Christmas Gift Bookmark Corner, also doubles up nicely as a Birthday Gift Bookmark Corner (and goes very well with our Birthday Cake Bookmark!!).
Gift Bookmark Corner – materials
- square piece of paper 14 x 14 is nice – wrapping paper would be perfect for this!!!
- scrap paper for bow
- scissors
- glue stick
How to make a Christmas Gift Bookmark Corner
Ta-daaaaa YES! It is video time once again…… we do love a good Corner Bookmark Video – so quick and easy to follow. However, as always there is also a written instructions below!
Step by Step Corner Bookmark How to:
Begin by making a basic origami bookmark with some pretty patterned Christmas or Birthday paper. As mentioned above gift wrap would be brilliant. Even better if the wrapping paper is recycled!
Once finished, flip the bookmark corner around for decorating. You want the square side facing you, with the triangle being on the back.
Now cut some strips of paper in your “gift box ribbon” colour. I cut the srtips approximatel 1 – 1.5cm wide.
You will need two paper strips long enough to go across the bookmark and from top to bottom. Stick those down.
To make your paper gift bow
Now cut two strips 12cm x 1cm and 10 cm x 1cm (four in total).
Fold them over to make a loop and glue in place.
Then glue the four loops together.
Stick the four loops to the back of your gift bookmark.
Finishing touches to your Gift Bookmark Corner
I thought it was fun to add a little “with love” gift tag. Cut a small rectangular piece of white paper. Write your message and glue down.
Then finally add some little kawaii faces and your gift wrap bookmark corner is finished!! Aren’t they cute?!
