Funny Faux Paper Plate Beard
Beards and mustaches never go out of style – do they? Let your little one join in on the facial fun with this beard made from paper plates! Time to make some super cool paper plate masks for Father’s Day!
Faux Beard Craft you will need the following supplies:
To make these paper plate masks, you will need –
- Paper Plates
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Cardstock
- Glue (We used a glue gun and recommend it be used by adults helping make the mask!)
Time to create it for Father’s Day!
Prep the paper plates for your beard
Step 1: Cut out the center of each paper plate, keeping the textured edges for the beard.
Step 2: Paint the textured edges and allow to dry.
Assembling the lower half of your paper plate beard mask
Step3: Cut the edges in half and stack, gluing on top of each other.
Step 3: Glue last edge upside down. Add two smaller pieces to upside down piece to form mustache.
Step 4: Cut out a triangle nose from cardstock.
Step 5: Glue nose to the lower part of your paper plate mask.
Adding more details to your funny faux beard mask
Step 6: Cut out glasses shape from cardboard.
Step 7: Paint glasses and allow to dry.
Step 8: Glue paper plate eyebrows to glasses.
Step 9: Glue glasses to nose to finish mask.
Depending on how many paper plates you use and how you cut them, there are so many different beard/mustache styles for a fun dress up play mask! Making masks out of paper plates really is super fun!
