How to make your 50th Birthday Card Pop Up

This pop up birthday card printable uses the W pop up method that we love so much here on Red Ted Art. It is a super simple 3d card making mechanism, that even young children can learn to make.

Begin by colouring and cutting

Print and colour your birthday number

Print off the card that you need! As mentioned, we made this as a 50th Birthday Card.. but we have all of the following: 10th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th and 90th versions for you to download and print.

Colour in your free download.

Cut out – we left a white rim all around the outside of our wording. I think it looks effective!

Make your special pop up W fold

Fold your W pop up shape

Take the 50th Birthday Printable and fold in half (see image).

Now fold down the end.

Flip around and repeat on the other side.

When looking at it sideways, you should have a W shape (or M tepending on how you are holding it!).

Glue your pop up 50th Birthday in place

Glue your birthday pop up in place

Add glue to the two outside flaps and carefuly glue in place inside your card.

Glue the birthday cake on the front.

Cut out some extra balloons and cupcakes if you wish!
