Our India Republic Day mini series continues. Honouring my wonderful Indian Readers, I continue with a month of India celebration crafs. Today, we have a super cute and easy Preschooler Blower Craft for India Republic Day (26th January) – they can of course also be made as an India Indepence Day Craft for Kids (15th August). And yes, with today’s craft, we satisfy our love for Easy Toilet Paper Roll Crafts… as this is a Toilet Paper Roll Blower Craft for Kids! The streams are made up of the Indian Flag‘s tricolors – Saffron, White and Green, with the blues referring back to the Ashoka Chakra, the 24 spoke wheel at the centre of the Indain Flag.

Decorating the Toilet Paper Roll

Take the toilet paper roll and a select a colored craft paper to cover the roll. Cut out enough craft paper to cover the entire roll on the outer side.

Simply use craft glue to wrap and cover the entire roll with the craft paper.

Select a different colored craft paper and cut out small round shapes from it; or any other shapes you want.

Use craft glue to attach the round shapes on the craft paper covered toilet paper roll.

Indian Tricolour Strands

Now gather orange, white and green colored craft papers. Cut out long strips from the papers. The length of the strips would depend on your choice; but keep the width between 1-2 cm.

Take a cut out strip and apply a small amount of glue on any one side of it; Join and press the glued area with the roll, near its edge. Continue to glue the rest of the strips similarly on the same side.

You can stop attaching strips once it reaches the first strip.

You can use different colored craft papers to decorate the roll for variation but for the strips use the 3 colors (orange, white and green).
