2025 is the Year of the Snake. Chinese New Year 2025 falls on Wednesday the 29th January 2025 – so it is a little earlier this year. It is a great opportunity to make our wonderful Year of the snake puppet! So fun. Print, color, carefully cut – a couple of folds and a dab of glue and you are all set. This fun Snake Puppet is available on it’s own or as part of our set of 12 Zodiac Animal Puppets. Make one. Make them all!! SO FUN!

Supplies needed for this set of Animal FINGER Puppets!

PLEASE NOTE: these are FINGER PUPPETS! So they are smaller and NOT hand puppets! Though if you want to print this over two pages (fiddle with your printer settings they can be used as handpuppets as well!)

  • Printer and printer paper
  • Pens, crayons, pencils – your choice of coloring tools
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick (to add the finger holders)

To make these 3d Finger Puppet Snakes, you can either watch the video instructions on auto play or follow the simple step by step photo instructions below!

Making these finger puppets is really VERY EASY!!!

Step by step snake puppet instructions

All you need to do, to assemble this cute farm animal puppets, is:

colored in and cutting out the snake
  • Print your favourite animals
  • Color them in
  • Cut out carefully
fold the snakes head into a zig zag
  • Fold the head into a zig zag
  • Cut out the two strips for your fingers
add the finger tabs
  • Glue the finger strips in place

Make one. Make them all. A fun collectible Jungle Animal Craft to enjoy in the classroom or at home.

Extension options: instead of using the finger strips, you can glue your puppet to clothes pins… turning them into fun clothes pin animal puppets too!

And DONE! Woohoo!
