Rainbow Looms: Inverted Fishtail using your Fingers
Yes… it has finally happened… the rainbow loom craze has hit the Red Ted Art household. And todaye we have the Inverted Fishtail using your Fingers pattern to share with you. It took us a little longer to get there, as my kids are 4yrs and 6yrs old and though the 6yrs old can JUST about manage the Loom Boards, we had to discover “Finger Looming” first. Using your fingers to create loom band bracelets is just so much easier for younger ones. Though do take care that they don’t keep the rubber bands on their fingers too long, as it can get a bit sore!!!! If you do like using the Loom Band Board, there are great Rainbow Loom Patterns here. We got our Rainbow Looms from Cuthberts Toys.
The thing I really like about the loom bands – especially the Finger Loom Band patterns – is how the kids are all teaching each other. Yes, I like to craft with my kids, but certain things, I feel are “theirs” (i.e. I don’t want to spend hours on youtube leanring how to do these things) and kids listen to other kids.
So I have my lovely 9yrs old neighbour (Kids’ Chaos’s son) teaching us how to do the Inverted Fishtail for you. We were not sure of the name at first, but our readers tell us that this is what this pattern is called!!!
Doesn’t it look pretty? I rather like the Pink/ Green/ Blue one and the lovely 9yrs old made it for Pip Squeak!
Without further ado – the Inverted Fishtail Loom Band using your Fingers
I think it is a lovely pattern and once you get the hang of it, easy to do!
