Stone Crafts – Easy Ladybird Stones

May 21, 2015

Time for some easy Summer Crafts for Preschool.

Some of you may know, or may not know, that my kids have launched their very own YouTube channel! Hooray. It is all rather exciting and lots and lots of fun. Their channel is all about kids creating videos for kids – i.e. it is all about stuff for kids BY KIDS. Today, they (I) am sharing these adorable and super easy to do Ladybird Stones! They are fun to paint and make and make wonderful little gifts to a teacher or friend (or mummy of course).

Stone Crafts for Kids - make these adorable little ladybird ladybugs - easy and fun to make

Aren’t they adorable? You can play with these in so many ways – you can make them with numbered spots – and then match them up against numbers and practice counting and number recognition. You can order and sort them by size and weight. You can have a lady bird picnic or go on a bug hunt in the garden.. or you can make your very own Tic Tac Toe game. Brilliant!

So… without further ado, take a peak at the children’s ladybird how to video:

You can use gloss enamel paints or acrylics to paint your ladbugs rocks!
