Studio Ghibli Origami – No Face from Spirited Away

|

I don’t know about you, but here in Red Ted HQ we LOVE Studio Ghibli. Obviously, Totoro is one of our favourites, but we also adore Ponyo and of course Spirited Away! So when the publishers of a brand new Studio Ghibli Origami book asked if I wanted to host one of the fabulous Studio Ghibli inspired Origami projects, I had to say yes!! There were so many to choose from, but eventually I settled on the curious No-Face from Spirited Away!

I have had a fist glimpse of the Studio Ghibli Origami book and it is fabulous. It is designed for both origami and Studio Ghibli fans and has a wonderful set of quirky origami projects for you to try. As a note: I would class these at intermediate level, mainly because each project does have a fair few steps to complete.

The great thing about being able to share this No-Face Origami project is that you get a good feel for the book/ taster for the book and it’s projects.

From the author of the Studio Ghibli Book about No-Face

As a central character in Spirited AWay (2001), No-Face is a mute, troublesome spirit. His motivations remain elusive. He plays the role of an amoral Tempter and is a major presence in the film. Chihiro and No-Face will never be able to understand each other, yet they coexist quite peacefully. Their relationship depicts the healthy humility needed to face the mysteries of teh world, an important step in Chihiro’s journey.

Supplies needed to make a No-Face Origami:
