Superhero Party Invites

January 31, 2013

Well.. I can’t believe that it is almost a year since our Cars Party! And the same little boy is about to have another birthday! This year he has asked for a Superhero Party! So, we are slowly beginning to plan the great day itself and looking into a range of Superhero Party Ideas.

As part of these Superhero Party Ideas we need invites! I wanted Red Ted to be involved in his “card making” and inviting. And as we are having a relatively small party (7 kids invited, 9 in total, opposed the UK trend of inviting the whole class = up to 30 kids!), we thought we could manage some homemade goodness.

Superhero Party

We took some blue and orange paper.

I did all the cutting – Red Ted did all the sticking.

I cut out blue squares and some orange masks.

Red Ted stuck and added some “sticky eyes”.

Then we got writing. I wrote the party details and he wrote his friends’ names and signed the cards.

Done. Part 1 of party planning sorted.

Next we will be looking at some Superhero Party games as well as some Superhero Party Food! I try not to make our parties too complicate or stressful for us to organise, but still fun and special for the kids. Actually quite looking forward to this next party! Yay. Now pondering whethere we should make some Superhero Juggling Balls or some simple Superhero Puppets at the party too! Maybe some Superhero Notebooks as favours?

    Love these!

We did make our own but afraid we just resorted to drawing a picture in Paint on Mummy’s computer. We MUST MUST MUST get our thank you cards done tomorrow as we played in the snow yesterday + today instead so hopefully will come up with some creative inspiration before then!

This is very cute! So many things are mass produced, seeing something handmade would definately make a difference. One trend I am noticing is that more little girls are doing super-hero parties but with a girlie twist – think Superwoman or batwoman. I think its great fun. Sometimes they rent superhero costumes or other times they come dressed in costumes themselves.
