Triangle Paper Craft Bunny
Oh as Easter heads our way we not only have some more fantastic Paper Easter Crafts for you… but a fantastic Easter Craft for Preschoolers and Early Year’s exploring shapes!! Did you know you can make an easy Triangle Paper Craft Bunny? Oh yes.. you can turn a simple triangle into a fun little 3d Paper Bunny Card… add a little “doodle egg” and they make a wonderful triangle based Easter decoration for kids to make OR a fabulous 3d Bunny Card to give to family! Just write an Easter message on the Egg and done! What a lovely folding Easter card to make.
Now, the instructions below will tell you hwo to create your own templates to use with the kids. However, I have also created both classroom friendly and home use friendly printables/ templates for your convenience. You can find these in my teachers pay teachers store for $2.50!
Triangle Paper Craft for Easter – Materials
- Paper or light card in the desired colours
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Pens for details and decorating

How to make a Folding Easter Card from Triangles
Your Triangle Paper Craft Bunny Template
Get your Teachers Pay Teacher’s Printables. Note, there are two types –
- to use as a template at home (print it off once and trace on your desired card), the other
- to use in the classroom – print on coloured paper for the bunny make and on white paper for the egg detail.

Alternatively begin by making your own template:
Draw a 15cm line. Mark out the middle at 7.5cm.
Draw a 15cm line perpendicular from the centre. This gives you the top of the triangle.
Draw lines from the top down to the sides to make your triangle!
How to make your folding bunny card from a triangle
Trace (if using the template) and cut out (if using the classroom printable) your triangle.
Use the guide lines to fold your folding bunny card’s face (fold the tip down) and leg flaps (fold the sides in).
Cut out the bunny ears and glue in place (you can add details to the ears with pen or paper scraps first if you wish).
Adding details to your triangle 3d bunny cards
With a pen add facial features your bunny! This is your opportunity to really add a perosnality to your bunny!
Time to decorate the eggs. With coloured pens (if you wish!) decorate the Easter Egg. You can make the egg spotty, stripey, add patterns or write “Happy Easter”.. you decide! Having said that, this is an opportunity for the kids to explore more shapes! Maybe have a row of circles, squares and triangles… look at primary colours vs secondary colours etc. A great opportunity for shape and colour extensions (maybe buy some small shape stickers for the kids to use? e.g. US/ UK (affiliate links)). Glue the egg in between the flaps!
