Valentine Wishes Card

|

Hello! I’m Sadhbh from Where Wishes Come From and I’m absolutely thrilled to be featured on Red Ted Art today. My blog focuses on crafts, celebrations and the fun I have with my twin daughters, so this 31 Days of Love series is right down my alley! A wonderful little Handmade Valentines Card DIY.

Handmade Valentines Card Designs Valentines Wishes Cards. Cute puns for Valentines.

These sweet cards, inspired by dandelion wishes, are really easy to make and will let your someone special know just how much you love them. You could also use them to send other kinds of ‘wishes’ too – just by changing the text. Messages like; “I Wish You Every Success”,  “Best Wishes for Mother’s Day” or “I’m blowing Birthday Wishes your Way” would all work well with this design.

To make this Valentine Wishes Card, you will need:

Valentine Wishes Card Supplies

  • Card Blank
  • Yarn
  • 1 inch Pom-Pom Maker (you can buy pom pom makers here: US/ UK) (affiliate links)
  • Small Twigs
  • Black Pen
  • Strong Glue/Hot glue gun
  • Letter Stamps and Ink Pads

To make this Valentine Wishes Card:

Valentine Wishes Card Process 1

Glue your tiny pom pom to the top of a small twig and hold it in place firmly until it has set. Use another dab of glue to position your ‘dandelion wish’ on your greeting card.

Use the letter stamps to stamp out your message. Or, if you’ve got lovely handwriting, that would work too!

Finally, draw some simple ‘flyaway’ dandelion seeds at the top of the cards and you’re done!

You could also make larger versions of the dandelion wishes (see my tutorial HERE) tie them up in a ribbon and present them as a Valentine’s bouquet.
