The lovely at Jenny Church has done it again! And has created another (much needed!! Hehehe) amigurumi knitting pattern for us all to try. As the world explodes with the cuteness that is amigurumi crochet, it is wonderful to see some knitting patterns being created too. Today’s fabulous creation: the Take Out Coffee Cup Knitting pattern – more specifically, the Pumpkin Spice Latter Knitting pattern complete with mini pumpkin (love that little detail SO MUCH!

Pumpkin Spice Latte Knitting Pattern

Isn’t this adorable? Love all the different elements of this knitted plushie – the cute little dangly legs, the happy little kawaii face, but more importantly the different textures created using different knitting stitches, making this and adorable Amigrumi Knitting Pattern for fall!

Supplies needed to make your pumpkin spice latter knitted plushie!

  • Using 3mm needles
  • French Knitting Dolly (you can make your own here)
  • Optional: safety eyes
  • Stuffing
  • Scissors & darning needle

Yarns used

  • DK double yarn in desired colors, here the following where used:
    • Coffee cup – peachy
    • Sleeve – light brown
    • Pumpkin – orange + a little green for the stem
    • Cream swirl – cream
    • Legs – light brown
    • Black for mouth

How to knit a take out coffee cup for Fall – the Pumpkin Spice Latte

Stitches used:

  • P – Purl
  • K – Knit
  • KFB – Knit front & back
  • K2Tog – Knit two together
  • P2Tog – purl two together
  • Stocking Stitch (alternate one whole P row with one K row)
  • Seed Stitch (alternate P& K stitches – when turning, reverse these stitches, so Row1: P1 K1 etc, Row2: K1, P1 etc)
  • B&T – Break and Tighten (knit/ purl the row as normal, break thread and run through the loops to gather)

Cast on 8 stitches in peachy colour

Row 1: P (8)
Row 2:KFBx8 (16)
Row 3: P (16)
Row 4: [KFB,K1] x 8 (24)
Row 5 – 7: P (24)
Row: 8 -26: Stocking Stitch (24)
Row 27-29: P (24)
Row 30: [K2Tog,K1] x 8 (16)
Row 31: P (16)
Row 32: K2Tog x8 (8)
Row 33: Purl (8)
B&T

Coffee Cup Sleeve Pattern

Cast on 30 in light brown

Row 1 – 8: Seed stitch 8 rows (30)

Cast off

Mini Amigurumi Pumpkin

Cast on 10 in orange

Row 1 – 6: Stocking stitch 6 rows (10)

B&T

Cream Swirl

Using cream yarn French knit 70-80cm length.

(I used French knitting dolly these are available on Amazon and at hobby shops)

The Coffee Cup’s Feet (make 2)

Cast on 8 stitches in mid brown

Row 1: Purl (8)
Row 2: K2Tog x 4 (4)
Row 3: P2Tog x2 (2)
Row 4: Knit (2)
Row 5: Purl (2)

Cast off knitwise

Making up the Knitted Coffee Cup Project

The Coffee Cup:

Gather cast on stitches to create circular bottom and cast o? stitches create circular top , sew all seams leaving space for stuffing.

The Coffee Sleeve:

Position onto co?ee and sew in place, sew together row ends (may need to leave these open if
adding safety eyes so do this after completing face)

Stuff the Coffee Cup & Sleeve and add the Cream

Add face using safety eyes (size 5mm) or embroidery and sew up all gaps left for stuffing.

Now add the cream. Swirl French knitting to create cream shape sewing in place as you go

The Mini Pumpkin finishing touch

Finally, Pumpkin – using B&T wool sew up row ends add little bit of stuffing and then gather cast on stitches to close, using this yarn sew around pumpkin to create shape (you can see some step photos with a crochet pumpkin for this step here). Then embroider on little green stem and face.
