Hi! I’m Amanda from ArtsyMomma.com where I share creative ideas for kids and moms. Today I’m sharing an adorable paper teddy bear craft to make for Valentine’s Day with kids.

Teddy bears are so irresistibly cute and we can’t resist making a new bear craft every year. My faves are this sweet paper plate teddy bear and this oh-so-cute footprint Valentine bear.

This cute teddy bear craft is perfect to make with preschool ages and up. It makes a great cutting activity for kids who are learning to cut on a curve.

Bear Craft Supplies:

  • Printed Bear Template (this is free, but you need to download it via Gumroad)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black Marker

How to make the Teddy Bear Valentine Craft

1. Download teddy bear template from HERE.

Print it onto the colored paper specified on each sheet. Alternatively, print onto white paper and then it can be used as a template to trace onto construction paper.

2. Next, cut out all the printed teddy bear pieces.

3. Assemble the paper craft like pictured and then glue in place.

First, glue the heart shape to the smaller circle and then glue this onto the bigger circle. Add the arms and legs on the sides and then add the head shape on top.

Finish by gluing on the ears, eyes, and nose. Draw on a mouth with a black marker.

Kids can write “Happy Valentine’s Day,” “I Love You Bear-y Much,” or a different phrase inside the heart shape. Another cute idea would be to draw a small picture of something they love inside it.

The finished paper teddy bear craft can be given to someone they love or hung up for all to see. It’s also makes a fun bulletin board idea for the classroom. You could make all different colored bears or even just different colored hearts.
