Handprint Alphabet – G is for Gorilla

Red Ted had a special request for this one – a handprint GORILLA! Yikes. How do we do a handprint gorilla – now there is a challenge and a half! I think Red Ted now thinks we can make ANYTHING out of handprints. Bless him. Maybe we can… so long as we try? What do you think?

A little monkey-ish… but kind of gorilla like?

To make a handprint gorilla – we painted the four fingers black (to make gorilla arms and legs – next time, I may paint the finger tips grey for gorilla hands and feet!). We then painted the outside of the palm black – like a big “O”. And the centre grey. The thumb stays paint free.

Then we added a grey head and with a finger added a black outline to the head. And then our googly eyes and outlines eyebrows, nostrils, mouth and ears.

Pip Squeak decided that you had to draw the legs again and to add belly buttons! *Aaah*.

She managed eye brows, noses and ears too!

This one even has gorilla pecks!
