GROGU BONNET Crochet Pattern

Designed by Romina Barlaro

SKILL LEVEL: Two (out of Three)

Introduction to this lovely DIY directly from the book to give you a taste for each section!

Grogu is a youngling at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, until Order 66 forces him into hiding. That’s when he crosses paths with bounty hunter Din Djarin, who has been hired to retrieve the child by a mysterious Imperial known as “the Client.” When Din, often referred to as Mando, learns what the Imperials have planned for Grogu, he decides to protect the child instead of turning him over. On the run from other bounty hunters, the pair travel the galaxy together looking for Jedi who can help train Grogu. Along the way, the pair form a deep bond, with Din taking on a father-figure role for Grogu.

In the spirit of this duo’s sweet connection, this bonnet is a cozy covering for any child in your life. The pattern includes directions for baby-, toddler-, or child-sized bonnets. Whatever age the wearer of this Grogu-inspired bonnet, they’ll no doubt be the cutest creature in the galaxy. And the soft, breathable yarn, meant to balance everyday comfort in warmer months with protection against chillier days in cooler ones, makes this adorable cap the cherry on top of any outfit. The bonnet is worked starting with a flat flap for the back of the head, then crocheted in the round to form the rest of the hat. The ears are crocheted separately and sewn onto the sides. The design captures Grogu’s charm and offers a cozy, comfortable fit for any little one’s adventures.
