How to make a Simple Elf Card Tutorial
Once again this Christmas Card Design series is a VIDEO tutorial series.. but I have added some short step by step descriptions for you below!
New Easy Paper Projects for Kids Book
In the video I mention my new Paper Projects Book – the designed shared here today, works really well for our little DIY gift bags shared inside this book!

Step by Step Easy Elf Card Design instructions:
As mentioned, we used some prefolded A6 cards in green. But you can make your own card and also make these cards in ANY size or shape. If you have “standard” card, you can simply fold it in half to make a greeting card base.
Your Elf’s Belt & Buckle
Note the belt is the same as on our Simple Santa Card – but a little thinner!
Cut out a fat strip of black paper – that is WIDER than the card itself – you will then need to trim off a black square from this strip of the centre.
In our case the paper is approximatel 2cm wide, and 15cm long.
The square I cut off is 2cm x 2cm.
Now cut a yellow square that is bigger than the black one. I cut one approximately 3cm x 3cm.
More Elf Card Accessories
You will also need an elf collar – cut a zig zag into some red paper. And some elf buttons – cut some circles and add details in pen.
Assembling your super simple Elf Christmas card design
Glue down your large black strip towards the lower end of the card – it is ok if it overhangs the sides. You can trim these off.
Then glue the yellow square in the centre.
Now place the black smaller square in the middle.
Now glue your Elf collar and buttons in place.
FINISHED. That took 3.5 min to make. If making in bulk, you can get these made even quicker!
We have ONE more Super Simple Christmas Card design in this series coming tomorrow. Be sure to come back for it! In the meantime… do check out all the other designs in this series!
