Be inspired and DO FOLLOW. I have picked 15 of the BEST CREATIVE INSTAGRAMMERS, that won’t stay a secret for long!
The wonderful thing about Instagram, is that you don’t just receive inspiration and craft ideas, but you also get to glimpse behind the scenes of websites and bloggers you know and love. You get to see what makes them tick and “happy” outside of their regular blog content…
And before I go one.. can I just say.. they are all AMAZING Instagram accounts.. it is almost easier to just follow them ALL in one quick sweep than trying to decide which of the below you “should” or “shouldn’t follow”… NONE of them will disappoint you – in summary we have Ana Dziengel, Pink Stripey Socks, Fun Crafts Kids, Handmakery, Red Ted Art, Willowdaygram, Art Bar Blog, Jean Van T’Hul, Tinkerlab, Inner Child Fun, Handmade Charlotte, hello, Wonderful, pysselbolaget, Meri Cherry La, Mer Mag. I also want to give weewarhols and incredibusy and honorable mention, I simply ran out of space. 15 featured accounts it is for today!
In no particular order… I give you:
1) Ana Dziengel author from Babble Dabble Do
This is the lady that brought us FLEXTANGLES – they have been a HUGE hit on the big wide web these last weeks. Anything that Ana touches turns into a kaleidoscope of bright and fun colours. The picture above? Did you guess that that was PASTA? Yes…. THAT is the magic that Ana creates. Every day objections turned into an explosion of colour.
“Think of Babble Dabble Do as your online “studio” with art, design, science, and engineering projects for imaginative families!”
Leslie from Pink Stripe Socks, simply makes me smile! And OOOH… and AAAH. Here crafts, once again, are very “every day”, do-able, fun, great for the kids and not at all intimidating.. and then she throws in gems like the above… I mean, avocado faces? How cute are they and how can they NOT make you smile?!
The ladies behind the Fun Crafts Kids instagram accounts, call themselves “craft curators”… their job is to scour the web, keeping an eye out for fabulous and cute and inspirational craft ideas, that make you say “oh yes please, I want to have a go at this”. You will find a super eclectic mix of inspiration. Follow their account and you will be provided with a great resource for discovering other Instagramers, as “featuring the best” is the name of the game.
4) Handmakery
Inspiring my inner artist for sure.. this is what Handmakery has to say!
@handmakery is our “captured collection” celebrating and culminating a colorful and creative life, focused around life’s simple gems + treasures! It features life in the majestic mountains within a small town, planted in the heart of beautiful + breathtaking Colorado.
@handmakery highlights our greatest passion- making + creating art with children and the creative process within our children’s art studio! It’s a haven where we include moments + memories, places + people, family + outdoor ventures, our love for photography + hands-on art making. As the creative director of HANDMAKERY, educated as a visual arts instructor K-12, I identify with being a visual and kinesthetic learner. Imagery and being hands-on is my native language, it’s how I read the world, and it’s how I feed my soul! Instagram to me means instant inspiration. It is an inspiring platform that has become a place of opportunity for one to connect with talented + inspiring creatives, also passionate about children and creating. Instagram is a connection point where we can come together to share snapshots of the visual journey + beauty of this magical + shared world!
5) Red Ted Art (ahem, of course!)
Red Ted Art – well, you may be familiar with my work already – generally, cute and easy kids crafts using recycled materials, every day items such as paper and paint, and items found in nature. My Instragram account also shares my love for London (where I live), quirky every day “things” and many many many “behind the scences” kind of things, that simply never make it onto my site or other social media. If you want to see what really makes my family tick, check out this account! But of course only as a set of *pretty* pictures!
I also co-host monthly #GetYourCraftOn challenges (each month we have a new them for you to share your crafts), encourage you to share your #KidsCrafts101 projects (easy projects to do on a rainy day) and join us this summer for #CampPlayful – summer fun activities to inspire all.
Willowdaygram oh what can I say… this is an Instragammer that always puts a smile on my face. Here photos are simply delightful, happy and inspiring. And she is a lovely person to boot.
