Watercolour Lace Wall Hanging
I am absolutely honored to be sharing among some of my very favourite kid bloggers as part of the fabulous ’31 days of LOVE’ series! My name is Liv & I’m a Nanny from Sydney, Australia! I blog over at A Crafty LIVing, where I share Arts, Crafts & Activities for Babies, Toddlers & Preschoolers! Come check us out on Instagram too, where we share lots of fun learning & play ideas for at home & in the classroom.
Have you ever tried painting lace? We found it quite therapeutic! Today I’ve come over to Red Ted Art to share a super simple Lace Wall Hanging art project for Preschoolers, to foster creativity & develop fine motor skills!
With just a few easy steps, you can make this gorgeous Wall Hanging; a perfect Valentines Day gift!
Watercolour Lace Wall Hanging Supplies:
- Lace
- Watercolours
- Paintbrush
- Dowel (30cm long)
- Scissors
How to make a Watercolour Lace Wall Hanging:
Start by painting a 30cm x 30cm piece of lace with your favourite watercolours.
Once your lace is dry, simply cut into strips. If you’re a bit of a perfectionist you can use a ruler, however, I just free hand cut the lace into (roughly) 2cm wide strips.
Next, take a strip of lace and tie the top of it to your dowel. Continue this step until you have used all of your strips. In addition, you could also add some different coloured & textured yarn!
Lastly, take an extra piece of lace or a length of yarn and tie each end to the ends of your dowel. Now your wall hanger is ready to be hung!
