Year of the Rat Colouring Page & Pop Up Card
Oh how we love a “two for one”! With the Year of the Rat heading our way, and lots of cute Rat Crafts already collected, I teamed up with the fabulous Kiddy Charts to bring to you a fabulous Rat Colouring Page & Pop Up Card!
You know we love a pop up… and though we love to make our pop up cards from scratch, a handy colouring page now and again is lovely too.
Materials needed to make your Year of the Rat Card
- Your printable (there are two – one with 2020 and one blank one)
- Scissors
- Colouring pens or pencils
If you require lesson plan and a printable worksheet with step by step photos, this is also available on my teacher’s pay teacher’s store. But the button below, gives you the card for free.
How to assemble your Pop Up Rat Colouring Page & Card
You can colour in your card before or after you assemble it. Whatever you find easier. Many like to colour it in first!
Once ready to assemble, cut out the card – i.e. trim off the white edge.
Fold the card across the middle width. Open it up again.
Fold the card across the middle LENGHT. This time the Rat face will be folded in half. Keep it folded.
Cut along the shape of the mouth.
Fold up the dotted lines below and above the mouth.
Unfold the card again. And fold across the middle.
Now the last little bit – pop up the mouth parts.
And done! You have made your very own pop up Year of the Rat card! Give it someone and wish them luck for 2020!
