Kawaii Flower Crochet Pattern

Isn’t this little kawaii flower crochet project the cutest? Here we made it using regular inexpensive DK acrylic yarn. It is an “unbranded yarn” (i.e. from our big craft stash)… so really this design is all about working with whatever materials you have to hand at home. It is most important though that you use the CORRECT hook to go with the yarn you are using and that all your yarns are the same weight for the different colours. Don’t match different sizes!
If in doubt, use a hook that is a bit smaller than recommended to ensure tighter stitches. But usually the recommended size should work fine. If you are’t sure what hook to use, make a little test square in SC and see how neat the stitches look.
I really love that you can take the little plant out of it’s pot! So fun!!!
We think that this little flower crochet guy, makes a great key chain (though you would need to sewing on the plant pot, or gift on Mother’s Day! So cute.
