To make Sock Puppets you will need:
- Old socks (we like using socks that don’t look too old.. or where you have lost a partner!)
- Googly Eyes (or white and black felt circles)
- Yarn
- Felt scraps
- Pom poms
- Hot glue gun (Or sewing thread and needle)
- Scissors
How to make Sock Monsters

Decide on what fun features you want your classic sock puppets to have. Then cut your felt scraps to make these features, such as tongue, eyes and spike shapes.

For the spikes we cut out twice as many as needed, as we put “two together”, to allow for a little ridge at the base to stick to your sock puppet and make them stand up better.

Your sock puppet will want some stylish hair too!
Wrap yarn around your hand or and scrap of cardboard, remove form your had or cardboard and tie in the middle.
Cut the loops of yarn to make the hair. Your sock puppet will sure be the coolest in town!

Now it is time to bring all these features together. Hot glue (or sew) your monster features in place onto your sock.

Your cute sock puppets are finished, aren’t they fun?
Now to puppet on a show with your fabulous puppets.
