Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. Hearts, chocolates, and handmade cards? Ooh la la! What’s not to love?
Hiya! My name is Leslie and I blog over at Pink Stripey Socks. I love sharing easy ideas for creating and connecting with kids. (Thanks so much, Maggy for inviting me to join in your 31 Days of Love Series!)
I’m thrilled to share today’s Valentine’s Day Craft with you. We’re making a cute paper plate raincloud so kids can “shower” someone with love!
Paper Plate Cloud – Here are the materials you’ll need:
- Paper Plates
- Colored Paper (I used scrap book paper, origami paper, and sparkly foam.)
Paper Plate Cloud – Steps
Let’s make our lovely paper plate rain cloud!
Step 1: Begin by cutting a paper plate in half. Then draw a cloud one half or the paper plate.
Step 2: Now cut out long strips of blue paper (you can use different pattern ones), hearts in different colours and sizes and of course and rain drops for your paper plate rain cloud.
Step 3: Next you need to tape the long strips of paper to the back of your paper plate.
Step 4: Finally, it is time to tape or glue on your paper hearts and rain drops on to your paper strips hanging from your paper plate cloud.
Tada! You’re finished! This craft was so simple my 5 year old could doodle, cut, and tape alongside me. Isn’t it gorgeous? I think this makes for a wonderful Valentines Decorations for kids to make. So easy and so cute!
