Supplies needed for your Photo Pasta Wreath Ornament

Note: as with all my crafts on Red Ted Art, work with the supplies you have to hand! Don’t go out and buy anything new. Also, where possible focus on eco friendly products (I know we haven’t always done so, as we use up what is left in our craft box!! But you can replace glitter glue with new eco friendly biodradable glitter too!).
- Cardboard for the wreath
- Your free circle templates (enter $0 at check out)
- A photo of your child or children
- Small pasta pieces (we love working with macroni)
- Green glue
- Bio degradable glitter and other craft bits to decorate your wreath with (eg sequins – though colorful paper circles made with a hole punch would work too)
- Scissors and glue
You can grab the simple wreath template in three sizes here – enter $0 at check out! Trace the larger circle first, then cut out the smaller in circle and use that as your second template.

How to make a Photo Pasta Wreath Ornament
You can watch the pasta wreath ornamant video or follow the step by step instructions below!
Step By Step Pasta Wreath Ornament instructions (as Photo Ornament)
Begin by choosing the size of of the Pasta Wreath. Remember, if your pasta is larger, you may want to make a bigger wreath. If you don’t have small pasta, maybe consider decorating your cardboard wreath ornament with other craft bits and pieces!

Cut out two cardboard circles (to save on paper, the printable has the two circle sides inside each other, if you cut the larger one out first, you can then cut out the second one after the first cardboard is cut).

With a pencil trace an outline of the small circle inside the large circle – so you know where to decorate with the pasta.
Add glue to the outside ring of your cardboard.
Arrange your pasta shells within this ring. Let dry fully.

Paint the whole wreath green.
Add extra embellishments with glitter glue and sequins as you wish!

Print out your photo. Use the small cardbaord circle cut out as a guide to cut out your child’s face the correct size.
Stick the photo onto the cardboard circle.
Stick the photo and the cardboard inside your wreath.

As your finishing touches, glue some ribbon to the back of your wreath for hanging. And add either a ribbon bow or pipecleaner bow!
Your Pasta Shell Wreath is finished! Isn’t it adorable with the photo at it’s centre?

I love getting close up to the wreath and seeing all the details!
