How to make a Pig Cootie Catcher Craft
As per usual, we have a great Cootie Catcher Video How To for you.. or you can follow the Step by Step Instructions below!
How to make a Piggy Fortune Teller Puppet – Step By Step Instructions!
Begin by making your basic Cootie Catcher in Pink. You will need a square piece of paper. Ours is cut from an A4 sheet of paper, so measures approximately 20 x 20 cm.
Begin by folding the paper across the diagnoal in both directions – so you get a cross shape.
Bring each corner towards the middle and make a neat fold (picture 4 shows the first fold).
Once you have all four folds (top right), flip your paper over.
You will see another “cross” running across you paper.
Again, bring each corner in and fold towards the middle (as per bottom right photo).
Once you have all for folds, fold in half (as per top right), open and fold in half again in the other direction. Just to create some creases.
Now comes the “only” tricky bit.. you need to squeeze all four sides in towards each other as per the bottom left images.
Then lift each flap to make your Cootie Catcher! ENJOY!!!
Decorating your Basic Fortune Teller to turn it into a Pig Puppet
Now comes the extra fun part.. decorating your basic Cootie Catcher to turn it into a PIG!!!. You will need some eyes, a snout (cut in half) and some ears. You can of course also draw these features on! I also cut out a tongue (again cut in half).
Once you have all your pieces, position them on your cootie catcher. You may need to crease the eye and snout of your paper pig to make them fit neatly.
Your Pig Cootie Catcher Craft is FINISHED!!! Woohoo!! Enjoy!
