Free Turtle Crochet Pattern
Super cute Sea Turtle Amigurumi by Craft Alotl

Needless to say, though Craft Alotl made her crochet sea turtle in strawberry colors and details, you can of course use this crochet pattern to make a “regular” sea turtle too. Simply switch out the colors to suit your needs! If you do make a “green sea turtle” or ANY other colored turtle, we would love love love to see you photos. Simply tag Craft Alotl on Instagram!

Using the super chunky chenille yarn, makes for a great plushie toy! But you can of course use this pattern with any other yarn you like (you may need to adapte the flower petals a little to make them smaller) – you will simply get a smaller amigurumi turtle!

I used light pink (A), cerise (B), white (C) and yellow (D) to make the strawberry themed turtle. And a small black (E) piece for the mouth. Use any color combination you like. Of course traditional turtle greens would look great too! You can still sew in the shell pattern.

  • Super chunky chenille yarn in colors A (body), B (shell), C (centre of flower), D (petals & accents on shell), E (small piece of black to sew on mouth)
  • Crochet Hook: 10mm and 8mm
  • Safety eyes: 10/12mm
  • Stuffing
  • Sewing needle

Pattern size for super chunky chenille turtle

This turtle plushie is 28 cm long and 18 cm tall. Your plushie may be a little bigger, as my crochet is a little tighter than normal.
