Year of the Ox Greeting Card Drawing Prompt
A cute and easy activity for Chinese New Year and the Year of the Ox! Download your Printable Greeting Card and get the kids to draw their own ox. Then have a look at the Chinese writing and pronounciation of “Happy New Year” and “xin nian kuai le” (pronounced shin nee-an kwai le)! A great little learning activity and a fun way to connect with friends and family.
As these Greeting Cards are “blank” – each one will be unique! Draw your Year of the Ox design as detailed or as simple as you want!
Children can also take a look at the Characters that say Happy New Year in Chinese, as well as have a go at the pronunciation:

To make your Year of the Ox Greeting Card you will need:
- A printer
- White paper or light card stock
- Scissors
- Pens
Though this designed as a drawing prompt, you can get creative and use this to stick things on too! Maybe make a mini collage or get some Chinese New Year Stickers for the kids.

Once you have downloaded and printed your Year of the Ox greeting card drawing prompts, get the kids designing and drawing. They can make as many as they like!
Then cut out the outer edge of the cards, fold in half and send to loved ones!
