Alice is part of a set of doll that are fun to make and are super sweet dolls, for a slightly more advance beginner to intermidiary crocheter. A great doll pattern to flex your crochet skills and make some adorable.

This little as with Ellie Doll, this Alice Crochet Doll would make a lovely gift too! Our little niece was quite taken by Ellie & Alice, I am sure you know a little girl or boy, who would enjoy this too! Enjoy this free crochet doll pattern! NOTE: the doll basic pattern is the same and you can mix and match the outfits to fit all your dolls!

12: attach fringe and plaits

adding a fringe

You will need to cut a number of strands the same length. Do this by wrapping the yarn around a rectangular shape and cut. Each length needs to be twice the length you want for the fringe/ plaits, as you need to hook them through the hair cap:

To attach the yarn to the cap, put the hook through a stitch (as you would for a crochet stitch), fold the yarn in half, and using your hook, pull the yarn through the stitch. Make sure there is a loop, so you can now pull the tail ends through and secure it.

For the fringe use 2 strands of yarn per stitch and repeat 13 times.

trim the fringe

Once you have done that, cut the fringe so that it hangs just above the eyes.

For the rest of the cap, use one strand of wool per stitch. Once you are done, style and trim the hair. In the example, I plaited it.
