Primitive Valentines Decor Ideas
I thought I would try ah new collection of Valentines ideas! We have had Shabby Chic in the past, we have had farmhouse chic and or course rustic DIY ideas… how about some Primitive Valentine’s Decor Ideas? There is definitely a lot of overlap between these different aesthetics! But I reckon this year is all about the primitive style.

So what is Primitive Decor about?
Key themes are very much around
- rustic and simplicity,
- with some throw backs to pioneer life in early America. A lot of
- aged and worn looks and
- US influences (think stars, flags, dolls etc) as well as very much that
- handcrafted look/ reused look!
As the theme for today is all about Valentine’s Day.. you will find mostly primitive heart decorations today! Enjoy!

The make do approach continues with Tin Can Lanterns. To make these more primitive style, I would probably tone down the bright colors a bit (maybe even leave the tins in their natural color) and leave out the beads. Some simple ribbons would be nice to add instead.
