You are probably familiar with the wonderful Melanie Morita already – you can find her as Knot Too Shabby Crochet on instagram or on Etsy where you can find many of her wonderful and super easy and super cute crochet patterns! All her work is simply delightful, but the patterns are also easy and approachable to all.
So it is no wonder that she has this lovely book Hooked on Amigurumi, for you to browse and will find many adorable patterns to have a go at. I simply adore the little gnome pattern and dinosaur pattern in the book.. but you will also find some great “yummy” treats (always popular in today’s world of Jellycat Amuseables) and sea side friends.
Why not try today’s Inky the Octopus and if you enjoy the pattern and the process, treat yourself to Hooked on Amigurumi too!! The book is available on Amazon or all good book stores!
Inky the Octopus
Some days you just need an extra set of arms (or four) to get you through your never-ending to-do list. Well, Inky the Octopus has got you covered. His little tentacles may be stumpy, but don’t let that fool you. He is a force to be reckoned with! Inky the Octopus is worked in continuous rounds and requires no sewing. The tentacles are made first and worked into the body. This pattern calls for purple yarn, but feel free to personalize your octopus! Inky’s finished size is approximately 5 inches (13 cm) tall and 5 inches (13 cm) long.
