How to make a Santa Desk Tidy or Pencil Pot
If you have made one of our many Tin Can Pencil Pots before, you will know what a super quick and easy 5 Minute Craft this is!! I have, as per usual, a quick Santa Desk Tidy Video How To for you, but also added written instructions for you below! Enjoy!
How to make a Santa Desk Tidy or Pencil Pot – STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Begin by measuring out your red paper for your Santa’s belly.
I find wrappingt the paper around the tin can and creasing it a little, gives you the perfect cutting guide lines. You can of course also get a ruler out!!!
Cut 2mm to inside of your crease. Check against your tin can that you have the correctly sized rectangle.
Time to make your santa belt
Use the red paper as a measuring tool – cut a black strip of paper the same length as the red and 3cm wide.
Then cut a black square 3cm x 3cm wide (this will be the centre of santa’s belt).
Next cut a yellow square 5 cm x 5cm.
Glue the black square onto the yellow one. Then the yellow square onto the centre of your black strip.
Finally assembly of your Santa Desk Tidy
Glue the Santa Belt to the red paper.
Add a little tape to the width of the red paper and tape to the tin.
Cut a second piece of tape.
Wrap the red paper as neatly as you can around the tin can and tape in place.
Your TIN CAN Santa Desk Tidy DIY is FINISHED!!!
Be sure to come back for our Rudolph Desk Tidy Tomorrow!
