Easter Basket Template (with Free Printable)

We have a brilliant Easter Basket Template Set for you today! Oh how love 3d Paper Easter Crafts. This Easter Basket Craft contains – a bunny basket, chick basket, 2 sheep baskets and 3 different fun carrot basket designs. There are designs to be used as coloring pages or the bunny, chick and lamb baskets can be printed directly onto colored card stock as a time saving activity!

Cute little Printable Easter Baskets to make & fill!

These little Easter Baskets are perfect as a classroom activity this Spring seasons. Making 3d projects from paper, is always a great little STEM activity. And students can take these baskets home filled with small chocolate Easter eggs.

They are also a great craft for the home. Maybe make a set of these as Easter Gift Baskets – they would be adorable Easter Party Favours (and children’s names to the handle)! By choosing the Easter bunny basket, the chick basket, or lamb basket, you can print directly onto colored light card stock, then you simply need to cut, make some simple folds and glue! Great for making a number as gift baskets for Easter celebrations or Easter fundraisers! You can of course include these as part of your Easter egg hunt too. Especially since you can add names to the handles.

This craft is suitable for kids of all ages! Though toddlers and preschoolers may struggle with the folding – you can include them by getting them to decorate the paper and helping you fill the inside of the basket. It is a lovely Easy Easter Craft to give a go.

Is this a free Easter Basket Template?

As with many of my printable crafts, there is a part of this project that is free. I try and make all my crafts as accessible as possible, but sadly, can’t offer ALL of the Basket Coloring Pages for free. So today, I have made the cute little Sheep Basket Printable FREE so you can still take advantage of this free printable Easter baskets if it is easier for you. You even get two of the little lambs – one lamb to color in and another little black sheep design.

Supplies needed to make your Paper Easter Baskets

• Light cardstock is ideal, though printer paper is “ok” too. If you are using light card stock, you can print straight onto colored card too. The Bunny, Chick and Sheep especially look great printed onto pastel spring colors such as lilac, yellow, blue and pink!
• A pair of scissors
• A glue stick
• Crayons, coloring pencils, pens or watercolors if using the Basket as Coloring Pages!
• Fun Easter Basket Fillers: shredded paper is a great base for your Easter gift (or Easter grass), then add mini chocolate eggs, or maybe a mini crochet bunny or similar..
• The printables!

How to make a the Easter Baskets with Template

As mentioned previously.. decide if you want to print your basket templates onto full color or white paper! Even on full color paper, you can still add details in a darker shade pen. E.g. I colored in the chick’s mouth and the Easter bunny’s ears and nose.

Take your time and enjoy coloring in the coloring pages. Explore different mediums if you wish. You can even add stickers too!

Once you are ready, carefully cut out the basket template. You will need the main body of the basket and the handle.

Make neat folds along the basket lines.

Add glue to the tabs on the sides of the basket. I find it easier to add all the glue first and then bring the sides together to make your little box.

For the chick you can also glue on the little chick wings.

Finally, glue the handle in place.

Now fill your lovely little Easter Basket with your favourite treats or small Easter gifts! What would you put into your DIY Baskets?
