No-sew crochet patterns vs sew crochet patterns

To no sew or to sew… that is the question!

Generally speaking no-sew loaf crochet patterns are super popular.. like who “likes” to sew in all those loose ends at the end of a project. Or maybe you worry, that you won’t sew on an ear or a foot properly. I hear you! No sew crochet patterns are great. HOWEVER.. the “no sew” pattern comes at a “cost”. Generally, speaking no-sew patterns are little more complicated, as you need to feel more comfortable with a variety of stitches – e.g. the BOB (Bobble stitch) is popular, as is using FLO and BLO stitches (How to do blo in crochet / flo stitches? – These are front loop only and back loop only stitches – where the hook goes through part of the stitch and doesn’t pick up both loops). They aren’t really too hard, once you know what you are doing.. BUT if you are beginner crocheter, you may find them confusing or tricky.

So.. if you are doing no-sew, it is worth checking if there are some video tutorials to help you along the way.. else..

What is the easiest pattern to crochet? Definitely sewing projects!

Crochet Patterns with SOME sewing is often easier for the beginner. Very often, you only need to be able to chain (not even do a magic circle), single crochet, increase/ decrease and know how to do a slip stitch.. and that is it.. for SO many wonderful free crochet patterns out there… so.. don’t knock “having to sew” something. It is not always that bad! 🙂
