How to make a Newspaper Leaf Garland

There is both a video tutorial (check out the video on auto play!) and step by step photo instructions for you! :

As you can imagine, these Newspaper Leaf Garlands are really fun and easy to make!

Begin with a nice walk to the park and collect a range of mid sized leaves. You can of course print off some leaf templates to help you if you prefer! Or even draw some free hand!

Draw a rough outline (it doesn’t have to be exact) of your leaves with your crayons!

Vary the colours as much as you like!

Invent some leaves if you wish.

Then go over your leaf outline with some watercolours!!! Do mix your colours and let them bleed for a pretty autumn mix.

Let dry fully and cut out – again, it doesn’t have to be cut “exactly”.

If you wish you can redraw some of the leaf features with your crayons.

Now add a little tape to the bottom of the leaf – so to strengthen the newspaper for hanging.

You can then either hole punch your newspaper leaf or staple it to some string!

And that is how quick and easy it is to make your newspaper leaf garland.

Doesn’t it look lovely?
