Begin with a nice walk to the park and collect a range of mid sized leaves. You can of course print off some leaf templates to help you if you prefer! Or even draw some free hand!

Draw a rough outline (it doesn’t have to be exact) of your leaves with your crayons!

Vary the colours as much as you like!

Invent some leaves if you wish.

Then go over your leaf outline with some watercolours!!! Do mix your colours and let them bleed for a pretty autumn mix.

Let dry fully and cut out – again, it doesn’t have to be cut “exactly”.

If you wish you can redraw some of the leaf features with your crayons.

Now add a little tape to the bottom of the leaf – so to strengthen the newspaper for hanging.
